This work is an homage to modernity. Or a report if you like.

I took one of Vermeer's most famous painting (1632-1675) and I updated it. Keeping the same layout, I have changed the XVI-century-lacemaker into her modern version, a chinese girl with red highlights and big earrings. Far, for once, from the overcrowded factory where she usually works.

The present one is the blue version of the original painting made one year earlier.
